APSA - HK Chapter, being the first regional Chapter was officially founded on 9 December 1994 with an initial membership of some 70. Currently, we have 216 registered members. With tightening of admission requirement policy, as of April 2001, we have 52 individual members, 16 life members and 2 corporate members. The slight decrease in membership is because the association has tightened its admission requirement and those members who have previously registered.

Vision and Purpose:
1. To make Asian Professional Security Association (APSA) as the centre for internatonal members in the promotion of Industrial Security. 2. To make APSA as the centre for communication aimed at establishing goodwill, unity and mutual understanding. 3. To make APSA as the centre for exchange of information, expertise and technology in the promotion of professionalism in Industrial Security. 4. To make APSA a conduit for each member-Government in the promotion of peace, cooperation and international stability.
