Chicks Brand underwear in the 50s and 60s were very popular items for men's wear, the classic 3 buttons half placket shirt was worn commonly as today's cotton T-shirt. In late 70's, Chicks was the first brand to introduce European technologically advanced Merino Extrafine wool yarn to make up woollen thermal underwear which was machine washable while maintaining the wool's softness characteristics. This enforced the popularity amongst the Hong Kong consumer. Due to its proximity, Chicks is well known in the neighbouring Guangdong Province. Recently, Chicks has started to open the China market by establishing counters in major department stores in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wushi, Shenzhen and Harbin.
